Bullet-Resistant Fiberglass
Also known as Opaque Armor, Bullet-Resistant Fiberglass is a layered, reinforced structural polyester laminate (fiberglass) that offers unique bulletproof characteristics. Press molded between steel plates at high pressure and temperature, bullet-resistant panels of fiberglass progressively delaminate as a bullet penetrates, distorting and flattening the projectile and dissipating the energy. More energy is consumed as the bullet penetrates the high-strength glass fibers.

TSS Total Armor Bullet-Resistant Fiberglass is typically used behind drywall, millwork, and countertops. Fiberglass is an opaque unfinished product and used as a subtle bullet-resistant barrier. It’s ideal for financial institutions, government facilities, data centers, medical and corporate offices along with other applications. TSS Ballistic Fiberglass has been security protection tested to UL 752 levels 1–3 with standard sheet sizes composed of 3 x 8, 3 x 10, 4 x 8, and 4 x 10. Ballistic Fiberglass tested to UL 752 levels 4-8 are also available upon request. Panels can be ordered cut to size. We also offer plastic laminate or aluminum finish when trying to retrofit an existing area when there isn’t the ability to finish with drywall.
