Understanding the Bulletproof Glass Project Production Timeline

When working with Total Security Solutions on a bulletproof glass project, we have a time-testing process to make sure your project goes from planning to installation quickly and with superior results. We’ve already spoken in depth about our planning process. Once the planning on your project is complete, the approval drawings are signed off on, and a deposit has been received, your project moves into production. From there, you’re looking at an average turnaround time of 3 – 4 weeks before your project is ready to pack and ship. Keep in mind this 3 – 4 week project turnaround time estimate is for a standard barrier project. If your job requires custom paint, special hardware, or other specifics, expect a longer turnaround time.

TSS 3 step process

Before Your Project Goes Into Production, You Need to Complete the Following Steps:

Make a partial deposit payment (or full payment if you prefer)
The production process does not begin until we receive your deposit, which means we won’t be able to give you an accurate project turnaround time and shipping estimate without it.

Review and approve everything on your spec drawings
Once we receive your approval, the job goes to an engineer to splice out the sections for each of our production shops to manufacture. They will be creating each element of your barrier system to the exact specs on the drawing. Once we have your approval, it’s possible your job could go into production immediately based on the shop’s workflow for the day. When the project elements get sent to our production team, there is little opportunity to change an order. That’s why it’s crucial you confirm everything on the drawing before sending it back to our engineering department.

Shipping Information:

Once a bullet resistant barrier is in production, customers frequently ask when the completed barrier components will ship. The exact ship date is determined after the engineer slices the elements of your job out to the different shops and they begin work. We’ll be able to give you your ship date 2 – 3 days after we receive your signed approval drawings.
