ASHE 2022 Recap

Another successful trade show is officially in the books! Over 3,000 attendees were brought together in Boston for the 2022 ASHE Annual Conference, including healthcare facility managers, engineers, architects, designers, constructors, infection control specialists, and others. While there, they learned about new developments in their field, networked with others, and found solutions to the challenges they face every day. Over the course of four busy days, conference-goers attended a multitude of seminars on safety, innovation, compliance, and sustainability, with the opportunity to earn several hours of continuing education credits.

As the only ballistic security company present at the show, TSS was in a unique position to address the specific concerns of healthcare facilities professionals. Our staff noticed that given current trends in the medical and mental health fields, bullet-resistant safety was at the forefront of attendees’ minds. With three of our ballistic experts in attendance, the TSS team was excited to answer questions and share our industry knowledge. Our booth featured several ballistic glass samples on display, including shot Laminated Polycarbonate panels (LP 1250) of various sizes, and a number of handheld glazing and fiberglass samples. The shot LP 1250 samples were a particular favorite of booth visitors, as the bullet is suspended in the polycarbonate, showing firsthand how effective laminated polycarbonate is at stopping bullets.

The TSS team provided attendees with a wide range of materials, including the 5 Key Components of a Healthcare Security Plan infographic, UL752 Chart Flier, and a QR code for Architect Resources. Our booth also featured a TV running video footage from live fire product demonstrations, similar to this webinar for corporate settings.
